We will be using this choreography at all of our special events, and want the whole studio to know our new FDC dance!! Tomorrow’s rehearsal will be fordancers ages 7 and older (Beginner level). Choreography for younger students will be taught at a later date. We will also be having a more rehersals to learn this dance, which will be announced soon! At FDC, we want everyone to have the opportunity to dance, so we enroll students all year long! Reminder to our current families: we have a referral program that benefits both you and any new dancers that you bring in!
We have referral cards located at the front desk. Pur your dancer’s name on the card, and then hand that card out to people who should take class at FDC. If that person comes to the studio, and stays as a paying student for one month minimum, you will receive a $20 credit towards your next month’s tuition! The new family will also receive half off their first month’s tuition.
If we receive 3 cards back with your dancer’s name on them, you will receive a free recital t-shirt!
There is no limit to the number of credits received. This is only applicable to families who are new to FDC. You can receive one $20 referral credit per month, but any additional credits will carry over to the next month. They never expire!
Please refer any friends or family that you know! Your child can dance with their friends!
We are looking for parents and guardians to help us create the 2016 FDC Special Events Calendar! We want your ideas for events for our dancers, dance families, and community, such as movie nights, dance parties, princess parties, parades, and more! We also need help to organize these events that we plan! You can give as little as 2 hours a month or as much as a couple hours a week!
FDC also wants parents to provide feedback about our studio operations and to give input about some ideas we would like to implement in the studio, so we can make this a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all of our dance families! We want to put together a focus groupthat meets informally about 1-2 times a month. You have the options of coming to just one focus group, a couple a year, or every time we meet! We want your honest insights and opinions to review what you like about the studio, what you would like to see changed, and to give input about some possible ideas for the studio, recital, and operations. We would like to have our first focus group after Christmas.
If you can help us out with either of these options, please sign up at the front desk!
Our annual recital will be held at Interboro High School on June 12, 2016!
We will have 2 recitals- Show A at 1 PM and Show B at 5:30 PM. Each number will perform once in one recital except the Opening and Closing numbers. If you have more than one dancer and/or if the dancer is in multiple classes, we cannot guarantee that the dancer will only perform in one recital. If a student can only perform in one recital, the front desk needs to be made aware.
Costume fees are due February 1, 2016. Early Bird pricing is no longer available.
We will have individual recital costume photos on a Saturday or Sunday in May. The date and time are TBD.
Our in-studio rehearsals will be on Tuesday, May 31st for Show A and Thursday, June 2 for Show B. These rehearsals are not mandatory, but highly recommended. Dancers do not need to wear their costumes during these rehearsals.
Dress Rehearsal and Group Photos will take place on Saturday, June 11th. Please hold the entire day. Rehearsal will take about 2-3 hours of their time for one number. We will have the rehearsal schedule known in early February.
This is an amazing and fun opportunity for our dancers to shine on stage! FDC will be performing at the Christmas Village in Philadelphia on December 26th, and we want YOU to dance with us! Watch the Comcast Light Show, sip on hot chocolate, and explore the magical Christmas Village with your FDC friends! Rehearsal and schedule updates will be coming soon, so keep a look out! Sign up at the front desk or email firstname.lastname@example.org!
